Insurance and Canadian Visa Information
MEDICAL INSURANCEIf you are a student from outside of Canada, GEOS Language Academy, Ottawa, can provide you with emergency medical insurance for your time at our school. The cost of this insurance is $2.00 per day. You may also obtain your own medical insurance, but we strongly recommend that you have good medical coverage while you stay in Ottawa. Please contact the school for more information. CANADIAN VISA INFORMATIONWhat kind of visa do you need to study English classes with us? This depends on what country you are from, and for how long you wish to study in Canada. We have written a small introduction to this question here.   When you have to make a decision to go to study abroad you think in several things such as your family, your culture, your life that you will have to leave for a while. But as soon as you get to GEOS, you realize that your life is just starting. I can say that there in Canada I lived one of the best moments of my life, I learned about other cultures, I got the chance to meet a lot of people, and I had so much fun, all the opportunities giving by GEOS. Geos' atmosphere is great. The staff and the teachers are very helpful, friendly. They make you feel as you were at home. I spent a year studying at GEOS (from March 2009 to February 2010). When I first got there, I started on level two going through to level six. After concluding level six, I took one month of Toefl class. I can also say that everything I know about English I learned at GEOS. While I was studying at GEOS I lived with a canadian family that I got from GEOS program. I didn't have any problem living with them. Actually, I enjoyed it a lot. I believe living with a canadian family has benefits such as, you can learn more about the country, the culture, the family can show you the city which you are living in, that in my case it was Ottawa, as well as to have the opportunity to talk with native speakers, which improve a student's english a lot. I only have good memories when I think about GEOS. I believe everyone should have an experiene studying abroad, at least once in life. GEOS is a perfect place for you to learn a second language and to have such an unforgettable experiencie in a foreign coun try. If you get the chance, enjoy every single day because the time flyes while you are there. Everything is so great that you do not feel the time passing through.
