I've been in GEOS for 10 weeks in level 5 and TOEFL. The teachers here are awesome and helped me to increase my English very well in a short time. With their help I was able to solve the TOEFL – test.

 

Furthermore I found many great new friends and I am very happy I went to this school, otherwise I wouldn't have met them. The school offered lots of activities and trips, which were perfect to meet the students from other levels.

Hi, I've been in GEOS for 9 months, from level 3 to level 6 and TOEFL. Before I came to Canada. I was so nervous and excited at the same time. It was my first adventure, and it was such a great time I think.

 

I met so many friends from all over the world, and they were always nice to me. Also my teachers were fabulous, especially teaching skills, that I really loved it.

 

There are so many activities in GEOS, and I enjoyed most of them. Those activities are various, so you can choose activities that you want. Also, those are valuable because you make a good relationship with friends.

Hi, I'm Talita from Brazil. I really enjoy Ottawa. Everyone is very friendly here, everyone likes to help you. Ottawa has a lot of things to do and lot of beautiful places. All the public systems are safe and organized, for example the bus system. I feel safe here.

 

And GEOS – amazing! In 1 month I think I learned more English than my whole life. I also like my Homestay. My parents are fantastic people. A funny culture difference is in Brazil sometimes I take a shower 4 times a day. In Canada people take only 1.

Hi guys, I'm Marco and I'm really happy with my experience at GEOS because the school has allowed me to make new true friends from crazy and wonderful countries.

 

I'm from Italy and you know how nice it is but Ottawa and Canada are too. For two months I have forgotten my country because Ottawa and Canada are very nice, with a lot of opportunity for fun and discovering a new culture through its museums and landscapes.

 

I think that I will never forget the day when we went rafting, it was amazing, thanks GEOS.

When I talked with my family about my plans for study English in Canada I was very nervous since I never had an experience as this before. I have 2 months learning English at GEOS and I’m spending a very great time here. Now I have lots friends from different parts of the world. Hi. My first steps in GEOS were great. I met nice personnel who helped me find my class. A few days later things became even better, I made new friends and fantastic teachers. When I finished my school I was really sad that I must leave this wonderful place. I spent so much good time here.

I am from Italy and this is my first experience in Canada. Beginning my studies in GEOS I was mainly interested in learning English, but now, after a month, not only have I improved my language skills, but what is more, I have met a lot of friends from all over the world. Hello. My name is Omar. I'm from Saudi Arabia. I have been studying at GEOS Language Academy for a long time. I have brought my sister and some of my friends to study at GEOS because GEOS is the best school ever.

 

While there, I met quite a few good people and I made some nice new friends from all over the world. You can't imagine how much pleasure you feel when you are there.

 

I also had the opportunity to visit so many awesome places in Ottawa with GEOS. Every week they have activities and journeys. If you want to study English, don't even think twice. GEOS is the best and you will never find a better school than it.

When my mom said that I was going to come to study English in a foreign country I was thinking about how I can make friends there and how I can improve my language in a country where I cant even ask for someone help!

 

When I started I was a little bit shy then my classmates started to talk with me and then I understood that they were cool and yes I could make new friends here.

 

Now I am enjoying a lot because the schools provides very interesting attractions one example is the trip that we're going on Wednesday we're going to the scientific museum and I think that it's going to be cool because I really love museums end specifically the scientists ones.

 

After that we are going to have a test that I think that I can do very well because I like doing tests and the GEOS's tests are very comprehensible and clear so you can get a better grade.

 

I am planning to next year come here again because I liked Canada and I am enjoying a lot, I had make a lot of friends from different countries and I had learned a lot of their cultures.

 

On the next year when I come I will spend 3 months here studying English and my brother and my parents will come with me to study too and we're planning to rent a house here to enjoy more.

 

And I say that GEOS should be waiting me on the next year.

My name is Alvaro, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Spain. I've been in Ottawa twice, so as to improve my English, and both times I chose GEOS as the place to brush it up at, since it's much more than a language school.

 

Apart from learning, you get the chance to meet people from different cultures all over the world, and you're given the opportunity to do lots of wonderful activities together. Besides, the teachers are great and they seem to be like friends, always there to help you when you need them.

 

Definitely, out of all the schools and academies I've studied at, GEOS is the best one, with really entertaining classes that let you make the most out of every lesson.

It was strange at first, when I started my course at GEOS. I met a lot of people who became a part of my beautiful experience in Ottawa. I even watched my favourite sport (soccer) with them. As I encounter them everyday, I build up my confidence to mingle and practice to speak English so I can be globally competitive. GEOS helped me do what I can now. I can speak English but not that fluently yet but I still learned a lot from my stay in GEOS.

When I was choosing a school for my English exchange in Canada from Brazil, I sent emails to many schools, including Geos. I remember Geos was the first to answer me - quite quickly -, so I thought it would be the perfect school for me, because if I needed any help in Canada, I'd receive it from Geos. I was totally right.

 

In Geos Ottawa, I found the perfect place to improve my English skills. I've been assisted any time I needed. I've also made friends for the rest of my life, because we can find space to share experiences and cultures during the classes, the lunch time and the extra activities.

 

The teachers in Geos Ottawa are the best in the world, I'm sure of that, and the school staff is always worried about the welfare of their foreigner students. That's why I could feel home during my stay in Ottawa. The school also provides us the best host family according to our wishes and personality, and I'll be always thankful to Geos to have chosen my host parents.

 

Ottawa will always be my home thank to Geos. Thank you, Niall, Janaya, Sara, teacher Annie, teacher Justin...all the staff! And thank you, my classmates, to teach me so much about different cultures. I could learn we are all the same after all, at the same time I was improving my English skills fantastically.

I have been in Ottawa for 7 months. I came here to study English in GEOS. Ottawa is really a beautiful city. This city is small, quite and clean. It isn't crowded.

 

I was really scared about the cold weather conditions before arriving in Canada. It is cold and but whole highways and other streets are cleaned by the city workers to keep the roads open. Big bus stations have heating systems. Streets in Ottawa are well organized. Life is easy in Ottawa. Also, there are many winter activities such as, going to skate on the Rideau Canal, go to sledding, and go to sky etc...

 

My favourite season is spring in Ottawa. View of trees is amazing. It has different colours. Walk and ride bicycle are enjoyable beside the Ottawa River in the spring.
People who live in Ottawa are friendly, helpful, and reliable. There are many people of different backgrounds. They respect each other, visitors and foreign students.
Ottawa is convenient to live and study English.

This is my first time to go to a foreign country to study. At first I was really worried about how's the school the teacher the classmate and "will I adjust an unfamiliar surrounding".

 

But I've been GEOS for about one month, I think everything is great, the teachers here are nice and classmates are friendly. And the sessions here are also lively.

 

There is almost nothing for me to pick fault.

 

So I think this is a really nice place for study languages.

Ottawa is a nice city for living. All the people are very nice. My host family is great. It's easy to learn the language with them because they help me speak English in the home and I can also play football (soccer) with them. I really enjoy my experience in Ottawa, with the family and the school.

Hello! My name is Mamiko, and I've been studying in GEOS Ottawa since 3 months ago. I have writing, speaking and grammar class everyday. All my teachers are very friendly and reliable. They teach me not only about studying from a textbook, but also Canadian life and culture in general.

 

I have made a lot of international friends here. We often enjoy school activities together. For example we went on a ski trip recently. Ottawa is a really good place for winter sports. Besides, this city is quiet and safe. It is a good place for studying too. Why don't you join us?

My classes in GEOS are really good. First, we a just a small group. Communication is easy in that condition. Second, the teachers are always there for anyone who needs an explanation.

 

We learn pronunciation, grammar and listening and it's interesting to learn new vocabulary and expressions. For me the chance to speak is what I'm looking for so I'm really happy to be at GEOS.

When you have to make a decision to go to study abroad you think in several things such as your family, your culture, your life that you will have to leave for a while. But as soon as you get to GEOS, you realize that your life is just starting. I can say that there in Canada I lived one of the best moments of my life, I learned about other cultures, I got the chance to meet a lot of people, and I had so much fun, all the opportunities giving by GEOS. Geos' atmosphere is great. The staff and the teachers are very helpful, friendly. They make you feel as you were at home.
I spent a year studying at GEOS (from March 2009 to February 2010). When I first got there, I started on level two going through to level six. After concluding level six, I took one month of Toefl class. I can also say that everything I know about English I learned at GEOS.

 

While I was studying at GEOS I lived with a canadian family that I got from GEOS program. I didn't have any problem living with them. Actually, I enjoyed it a lot. I believe living with a canadian family has benefits such as, you can learn more about the country, the culture, the family can show you the city which you are living in, that in my case it was Ottawa, as well as to have the opportunity to talk with native speakers, which improve a student's english a lot. I only have good memories when I think about GEOS.
I believe everyone should have an experiene studying abroad, at least once in life. GEOS is a perfect place for you to learn a second language and to have such an unforgettable experiencie in a foreign coun try.
If you get the chance, enjoy every single day because the time flyes while you are there. Everything is so great that you do not feel the time passing through. It is my only and basic advice. :)

Hi My name is Ayca Ozaslan . I have been studying in GEOS Ottawa since 7 months ago. Ottawa is a great city to learn English in.
Ottawa is a "Bright City". It is home to a wealth of culture. It is one of the world's safest and most beautiful communities in which to live, work, learn and play.
I have met a lot of international friends. Everybody is very friendly and cheerful. Ottawa is home to national museums, official residences, government buildings, memorials and heritage structures. Therefore we make a lot of activities after school.
You can live the four seasons in Ottawa. Spring, summer, fall and winter are the changing seasons are an integral part of city.
I use public transportation. It's very easy for transportation. The Government thought of everything. There are heaters in big bus stations for winter and also everyone can easily learn bus schedules.
I believe that Ottawa is right city to live and learn English for me.

GEOS is a wonderful school! I met so many good people who helped me in my English improving: teachers and everybody else who work in this amazing school. I made so many friends from different countries. GEOS is a huge international family that makes every student happier. All in all, I love myself in GEOS! :)

I believe places and cities are made by people, and that's why I love GEOS, and in general Canada, because I always found lovely people who made me feel like if I was at my house. I'm here since last September; it means 6 months ago, and I'm very glad I found this school in Ottawa. At this moment, I have really good memories for all the time I spent here.
On the one hand, GEOS has really good teachers. All of them are very friendly with students, and they really know how to teach. On the other hand, GEOS has students from a lot of different countries. I found only around 3 or 4 Spanish / Latino - American people, so that was great, because I could improve my English faster. Instead of Spanish people, I made a real group of friends from Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, Brazil, Venezuela, Russia, Switzerland...it was amazing!
I'm going to come back here soon, because I wish finish my English levels, but in the meantime I recommend you this school, maybe we can find each other here in the future.

I have been studying in GEOS for 4 months. It's really good! I think GEOS is the best language school in Ottawa. There are so many activities. For example bowling, skiing, traveling etc.
We can get close to students from another class and also make friends of another country. I want to stay until I go back to Korea.

It was really unforgettable my 3 weeks with GEOS. First of all I enjoyed the Ottawa city, where my school is located because there are so many various museums and places to have a rest there.
