GEOS REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

 

We are pretty confident that you will be satisfied with out school, your language classes, and the customer service you receive. However, we do understand that you may have the need to change your plans. Please feel free to discuss you situation with a staff member. We are here to help you.

 

Student Authorization Related Withdrawals

In case of a visa refusal, a full refund minus the non-refundable Letter of Acceptance Fee ($120CAD), or the equivalent value thereof, and the non-refundable Document Shipping Fee of $60CAD (if applicable) can only be made if the student provides the Letter of Refusal issued by the Canadian Embassy at least 14 days prior to the course start date. After this date, GEOS will consider the participation of the student as confirmed, and Cancellation / Rebooking Fees will apply.
If the visa has not been issued 15 days before the course start date, GEOS strongly recommends postponing the course. In this case, the first Rebooking Fee (from $75CAD) will not be charged.

 

Non-Student Authorization Related Withdrawals

In the case of cancellations prior to the course start, the following refund policy will apply:

  • Cancellation up to 30 days before course start: 10% of total fees, which will not exceed $225.
  • Cancellation 15-29 days before course start: 25% of total fees, which will not exceed $450.
  • Cancellation 1-14 days before course start: 50% of total fees, which will not exceed $900.
  • Thereafter, 90% of the total fee is required, which will not exceed $1500.

 

Refunds After The Program Of Study Starts

a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by GEOS, before 10% of the program of study is completed, GEOS may retain 50% of the total unused tuition.
b) If written notice of withdrawal is received by GEOS, after 10% and before 30% of a program of study, GEOS may retain 70% of the total unused tuition.
c) If a student withdraws after 30% of the program of study's duration, no refund is required.
d) If a student is dismissed from a program of study for not adhering to the GEOS Code of Conduct, no refund will be given.
