GEOS Ottawa organizes after-school activities everyday (and occasionally organizes weekend activities) for our international students in Ottawa.  These activities vary by season. Some examples of these activities include trips to Parliament Hill, movies, sports games, parties, and more!

Summer in Ottawa

As the warm sun of summer shines above Ottawa, the city lights-up with its dozens of summer festivals and special events! The Ottawa Jazz Festival, the Bluesfest, the International Fireworks Competition at The Casino du Lac-Leamy, and the National Capital Triathlon, Duathon & Relays, are just some examples of the types of events Ottawa has to offer in the summer.

Fall in Ottawa

Fall is a time of stunning colors and long, relaxing walks in the cooler autumn weather! Visit the Hot Air Balloon Festival, the Heritage Ottawa Historic Walking Tours, La Vendemmia, the Haunted Walks, the Fashion Show, among several others. Participate in the Terry Fox Run. Celebrate Halloween in Ottawa at the many special events. Enjoy ice skating, the NHL Hockey season and the CFL Football season. Go Senators & Renegades Go!

Winter in Ottawa

Winter in Ottawa is filled with so many exciting activities! Enjoy winter sports at the local mountains (Day & Night Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowshoeing, Snow Tubing). Check out the Bell Capital Cup, Mamma Mia!! at NAC, The Bridal Show, The Ski Marathon, and many others. In the Christmas Season - go to The New Years Eve Gala, The Upper Canada Village, and watch the Nutcracker (Royal Winnipeg Ballet).
