About Ottawa
Ottawa is the capital of Canada and the centre
of Canadian government. The buildings of Parliament Hill look like they
have been transported directly from Europe! The site of numerous
festivals, light shows, tours, and of course, Royal Canadian Mounted
Police parades, Parliament Hill has something everyone should see!
In winter or summer, the Rideau Canal offers visitors to Ottawa a
unique experience. 7.8 kilometers long, in winter it is the world's
longest ice-skating rink; and in summer, it provides a perfect
sightseeing route for recreational boating. You can enjoy walking or
cycling along its banks too!

restaurants and nightclubs. It is a great place to go for a Sunday
afternoon stroll, or a Saturday night on the town! The center of
nightlife in Ottawa, it's a major attraction for one and all!
Ottawa has loads of culture and history! There
are 29 museums, 12 of which exhibit national treasures. The Museum of
Nature looks like a castle straight from medieval times and is sure to
spark your interest and imagination. Other museums include: the Museums

Just across the Ottawa River in Hull, Quebec,
is beautiful Gatineau Park where everyone can get back to nature in a
big way! Only 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa, Gatineau Park is over
36,000 hectares of unspoiled nature. Bicycle and hiking trails make it
easy for everyone to explore this wonderland!
